The short version
- You start as a guest, so we know very little about you unless you choose to tell us more.
- The woman you call sees your video, your voice and your profile name. Not your email or phone number.
- We take still frames from the camera during matching and calls for safety checks. Details are below.
- Google Analytics only runs if you say yes in the cookie bar.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted.
Data your browser sends anyway
Every website receives some technical information from your browser, and ours is no exception: the kind of phone or computer, its operating system and browser, identifiers tied to the device, and carrier details on mobile. Each request is written to a server log alongside the IP address, a timestamp and our reply. An IP address tells us roughly which region you are in. A precise position reaches us only when your device has location sharing switched on.
Data you give us
Your guest account
Opening the list or the match screen creates a guest account in the background, because calls, coins and blocks need an account to belong to. Nothing has to be typed in for this.
If you register
We store what you enter: email, username, display name and password, plus anything optional you add, such as a profile photo, a short bio, a birth date or a gender. A Google or Apple login shares that account's name, email address and profile picture with us.
While you use the site
Which parts of the site you open, how long you stay and which page sent you here. We also store the chat messages you exchange with other users and anything you send to support. Cookies and similar storage are covered separately in the cookie policy.
When you buy coins or VIP
A record of the purchase and the billing details that go with it. Card payments are handled by outside payment companies; full card numbers are never stored on our servers.
Still frames from your camera
While you are matching and during calls, OmegleGirls.tv can capture individual still images from your camera. Your browser analyses the frame first, noting how many faces are in it and how bright it is, then sends those results to us together with the call or match they belong to. When our settings require it, the image itself is uploaded as well. This is configured on our side and there is no switch for it inside the app, so we are stating it here.
These frames are used only for safety: to make sure someone is actually sitting at the camera, and to catch a camera pointed at things the other person did not agree to see. They are not shown to anyone you talk to and never appear on a profile.
Why we use it
- To run the site: show the list, connect calls, process purchases.
- To remember your settings and improve match suggestions.
- To reply when you contact us and to send notices about the service.
- To find fraud, abuse and breaks of our terms and guidelines.
- To fix bugs and understand how the site is used.
- To meet legal duties and protect users, the public and the service.
Who else sees it
Whoever you are on a call with gets your video, your audio and your display name. For a guest, that name was made up for you. Anything you later put on your profile, such as a picture or a few lines of bio, can be seen by others, and search engines may index public profiles. Your email, phone number and password stay hidden from other users; the password is kept in encrypted form that even our own team cannot read.
Outside the site, personal data is shared only:
- when you ask us to share it;
- with providers who host the site, process payments, deliver content or help with support, under confidentiality terms;
- when the law requires it (a court order, a subpoena, a request from an authority) or when we need to protect someone's safety;
- if the service is merged, sold or reorganised;
- as totals that cannot reasonably be traced back to you.
Analytics, only with your yes
Google Analytics counts a visit only after you tap Accept in the cookie bar. If you choose Essential only, or ignore the bar, nothing about your visit is sent to Google Analytics. You can change your answer at any time on the cookie policy page.
How long it stays
Account data stays while the account exists. Once an account is closed, personal data is deleted or made anonymous within a reasonable time, except where the law obliges us to keep something. Content that other people replied to may remain in anonymous form. Safety frames are removed once nothing depends on them any more, such as an open investigation, a disputed report or a legal hold. Some payment records are kept longer because tax and accounting rules require it.
Requests you can make
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask us to:
- send you a copy of your personal data, in a format a machine can read;
- correct it, or delete it, subject to legal exceptions;
- limit how it is used in particular situations;
- stop promotional email (the unsubscribe link and your notification settings also do this).
Send requests to [email protected]. Replies come within a reasonable period, and never later than the law where you live allows.
Adults only, security and updates
OmegleGirls.tv is only for adults. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 18, or under the legal adult age where they live, and we delete it promptly when we find it. To report an account like that, see the child safety page.
Your data is encrypted while it moves and while it is stored, only people who need it can reach it, and our security gets checked on a regular basis. No system online is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.
When this policy changes in a meaningful way, the review date at the top changes too, and for bigger changes we give notice on the site or by email first. Continuing to use OmegleGirls.tv after that means you accept the updated version.
